The Woodbridge Cloverleaf: Onramps to Innovation
New Jersey Department of Transportation

This half-hour program was commissioned by the New Jersey Department of Transportation to document the Woodbridge Cloverleaf, a designated historic structure which was slated for demolition.

From the viewpoints of  construction  techniques, aesthetics and functionality, this look at the first cloverleaf traffic interchange in the United States provides a rare chance to experience a technological wonder of the past from the perspective of someone living in that era.

Beyond simple documentation of the "bricks and mortar" of the interchange, our program documents the history behind this innovation in traffic engineering and what it was like when it was new.

This sample represents a "work in progress" collaboration with Hunter Research of Trenton.  Stay tuned for the final version!

City Tunnel No. 3
New York City Department of Environmental Protection

This is a Video News Release (VNR) that was distributed to television outlets to provide them with footage which would facilitate their efforts to cover the story about progress on construction of the third water tunnel project in Manhattan.

Footage from this VNR was used as part of a report on NBC's Today Show.

We shot this footage hundreds of feet under the streets of midtown Manhattan, traveling miles in a train through a narrow tunnel to reach the "business end" of the operation: the Tunnel Boring Machine, a gigantic, mole-like device that chews its way through the bedrock.

City Water Tunnel Number Three has been called the largest peacetime construction project ever and Sica Productions is very proud to have played a small part in it.

A music track specially scored for this spot plus some meticulous animation work produced an eye catching and humorous piece.

Focus On Your Growth
The BOC Group

This program is one example of what can be done to jazz up a PowerPoint presentation.

Using all the original PowerPoint elements, and only the PowerPoint elements, the original presentation was reconceptualized in a more dynamic form to serve as a meeting opener video.

The Early Television Foundation and Museum

Those of you who know me, or have visited the displays of early television technology at the Sica Productions studio, know that the history of television is at least as fascinating to me as the current state of the art.

This commercial produced for the Early Television Museum presents the story of an enthusiastic donor as an inducement for others to consider offering similar support.

And Just For Fun...

Check out this 1952 television commercial, a political  ad which was part of  Eisenhower's  campaign for the presidency.

I wasn't even born yet, but wasn't the world a different place back then? No "going negative", no attack ads. Aaah, those were the days!
