Cloverleaf Stills |
| |

|
Here is a contemporary
aerial shot we took of the Cloverleaf prior to the beginning of
demolition.
These images are stills captured from video. One is
interlaced, one is de-interlaced.

Another frame from the
video. (Again one interlaced, one deinterlaced.) |

Here is a photo from the New
Jersey State Archives showing the Cloverleaf when it was new. |

Photos of the Woodbridge
Cloverleaf also show some of the only known views of the "Whoopee Track" (seen
here off in the distance behind the Cloverleaf.)
There was also another
Whoopee Track in Camden at about the same time. We found a photo of that one
too. |

Here's a still from our
computer animation and a matching contemporary photo of the Cloverleaf. |

Here's another matched
pair. |

 |
And a still from the
animation matched to an archival photo of the Cloverleaf. |

 |
Our 3-D animated model is a
100% faithful replica; it was constructed directly from the original
blueprints. |
| |
 |
We used original material
wherever possible. Here's a photo of the original 1909 Senate Bill authorizing
the creation of the State Highway Commission. |
| |
 |
And in some cases we also
created "new" vintage material using historic data where no originals existed,
adhering to design conventions of the era. |
| |

 |
We used a virtual map of the
state on which highway evolution could be visualized and plotted. This map is a
3-D model developed from a high resolution scan of an actual 1930
New Jersey High way
Department map which featured a photo of the new Cloverleaf. |
